Robert is a solicitor with over 23 years’ experience of providing advice on commercial business transactions and construction transactions. 

 

He has worked at large national firms and as an in-house lawyer in several sectors. Robert’s career includes eight years as Group Head of Legal for a building services, construction and renewable energy group.  He provides straightforward, practical commercial advice for businesses large and small, and will take the time to understand your business and the context of your deal before helping you to achieve what you want in the most efficient way. Robert advises on a wide range of commercial transactions, both large and small-scale construction and infrastructure projects, assisting clients at every stage.

Commercial

Robert is experienced in a wide range of commercial environments from manufacturing to information technology.    He not only provides legal advice, but also project manages and supports clients throughout their transaction process to ensure that the correct focus is given to the correct issues.

Construction

Robert has extensive experience in non-contentious construction and engineering matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating building contracts, mechanical and electrical engineering contracts, sub-contracts, forms of security, appointments and collateral warranties/third party rights. Robert advises clients in respect of all methods of procurement and works with all standard forms including: JCT, NEC, MF/1, and bespoke forms of contract.
